Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven Fire Alarm Inspector to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will perform testing and inspection of fire‑alarm systems in assigned buildings. You will help to identify and report any problems or deficiencies found in the systems you inspect. This is a customer‑facing role, one that is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects.

You’ll Do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Test and inspect commercial fire‑alarm systems within assigned buildings.
  • Identify and report problems or discrepancies found in the systems you inspect.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with all inspections and testing.
  • Interact with building owner or building engineer prior to, during, and following completion of the testing process.
  • Review reports and initiate next steps as necessary.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
What You’ll Need

  • Commitment – engages with colleagues and customers to ensure successful testing operations and complete customer satisfaction.
  • Fluent understanding of building codes and standards related to fire alarm inspections (i.e. NFPA 72, IBC, IFC)
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis. We service locations all across the great state of Alaska.

Requirements

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 1 year relevant field service or customer service

  • NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm
  • Hands‑on experience in the commercial/industrial/low voltage/electrical industry.
Preferred Experience (but not required)
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronics, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
  • State of Alaska Fire Alarm 1B license
  • Experience with panel programming (EST, Simplex/Autocall, Silent Knight or similar complexity)
