AKHIREis currently recruiting for the following position:

Description: Commercial Properties Maintenance Technician ($26-$30.00/hour)

Location: Fairbanks, Alaska

Pay: $26-$30.00/hour (DOE)

Schedule: M-F, days rotating weekend on call

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Properties Maintenance Technician with a strong background in property maintenance.

Summary:

• Perform necessary maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the property portfolio.
• Utilize skills normally associated with carpentry, appliances, plumbing, welding, electrical, masonry and related property and facility maintenance trades to ensure proper maintenance and repair of assets.
• Work independently, applying discretion in determining proper work methods and analyzing preventative maintenance needs.
• Serve as a team player, offering support to fellow team members when necessary.
• Continuously strive to increase working knowledge of properties and skills required to perform various tasks.
• Possess interpersonal skills necessary to conduct business in a manner that attracts and retains tenants.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of maintenance experience or experience in a related field.
• Ability to lift/carry 80 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull 200 pounds/dolly.
• Possession of a functional, insured vehicle.
• Ability to be insured by company’s auto insurance.
• Desired greater experience and skills in building construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and auto mechanics.
• Complete background check and drug screening required.
