Trailer Mechanic IIColville Transport – Fairbanks, AK
Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Pay | Benefits + Profit Sharing
What You’ll Be Doing- Diagnose and repair tank trailers, flatbeds, and heavy‑duty trailer systems
- Perform DOT annual inspections and preventative maintenance
- Repair brake systems, air systems, suspensions, lighting, wheel seals, and structural components
- Complete aluminum and steel welding repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic issues with minimal supervision
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced shop environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations.
- 3–5 years of trailer and/or heavy‑duty diesel repair experience
- Ability to perform intermediate to complex repairs with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Experience with air brake and suspension systems
- Welding experience (aluminum preferred)
- ASE certification or diesel technology training preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
