This position includes a $2,000 new hire bonus, which is paid after the successful completion of the first 30 days of employment.
In addition to the new hire incentive, this position also offers a $1,000 retention bonus, payable in July upon the successful completion of the current fiscal year.
Job SummaryThe Carpenter is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of District facilities and fixtures made of wood and other materials. This position requires skill in carpentry techniques, the ability to interpret plans and specifications, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards.
CompensationNew Hire Starting Hourly Rate: Grade 12: $33.03 - $37.12 DOE
Internal Hourly Rate: Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement
Work Day: 7.5 hours per day
Work Year: 12 months
Bargaining unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)
Total Compensation: At Step 1, this position offers estimated total compensation of up to $92,024, including base wages and benefits, with additional earning potential as experience and pay steps increase.
