This remote/rotational position alternates two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off at Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job PurposeThe Overhead Door & Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for:
Building MaintenanceRoutine maintenance, repairs, modifications, and replacement of building systems, including hardware, environmental systems, utility systems, and structures for commercial buildings and camps. Performs basic HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and electrical work; may procure parts and materials; isolates problems; performs janitorial duties; uses computerized ordering system.
Overhead DoorInstallation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance of commercial industrial doors and door operating systems. Modifies existing doors to comply with current fire and building codes; may purchase parts; performs man‑lift operations; calculates balance, weight, and cable lengths.
Essential Job Functions (Building Maintenance)- Performs basic HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and electrical work.
- May procure parts and materials through the computerized material and job order systems.
- Identifies maintenance problems requiring specific craft journeyman.
- May perform janitorial duties as required.
- Uses computerized ordering system to purchase parts and supplies.
- Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures, piping, small appliances, janitorial equipment, exercise equipment, and envirovac systems.
- Performs minor mechanical, carpentry, and basic electrical work applications (ballasts, switches, receptacles, etc.).
- Analyses, diagnoses and repairs identified items and other equipment as needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance and complete rebuilding of washers and dryers.
- Accesses the organization job order system to create job orders.
- Attends safety meetings and training sessions.
- Installs, maintains, and performs preventive maintenance of doors and operating systems.
- Modifies doors to comply with current fire and building codes.
- Responsible for direct purchase of parts from vendors and manufacturers.
- Performs man‑lift operations and standard rigging, including rigging hand signals.
- Calculates balance, weight, and cable lengths.
- Strong plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and appliance repair/replacement abilities.
- Knowledge of carpentry, painting, mechanics, electrical/controls, and pipe fitting/plumbing crafts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Ability to maintain maintenance records.
- Skilled in scissor lift / man lift operation and standard rigging practices.
- Ability to calculate balance, weight, and cable lengths.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with direct purchase of parts from vendors and manufacturers.
- Ability to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Team communication and adherence to established safety policies.
- Promote safe work practices and adhere to company and client safety policies.
- Attend safety meetings and training sessions.
- Operate Worley light and/or medium duty vehicles.
- Safely climb ladders.
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. The site is approximately 840 miles from surgical and tertiary medical care. The employee must stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and maintain normal balance and coordination.
