Compensation: $50.49 - $50.49 per hour

We are seeking a hardworking and committed HVAC Technician with a positive attitude.

• Install, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
• Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Install and clean air and water filters.
• Install and program thermostats.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts.
• Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to the power source.
• Communicate and interact directly with the customer, informing them of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
• Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to the customer.
• Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
• Operate company-provided vehicles, trailers, and lifts, gas and electric-powered small equipment.
• Utilize mobile maintenance and inspection devices to maintain a record of all service and repair activities.
• Maintain and wear PPE as required.

• One (1) year of HVAC experience required.
• Must have civilian or military trade school training or equivalent.
• Municipality of Anchorage Mechanical License preferred.
• State of Alaska Mechanical License preferred (Journeyman level license preferred).
• EPA 608 license required or must be able to obtain within one year.
• Alaska certificate of fitness required.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and perform repetitive motions for several hours at a time.
• May require climbing in and out of a vehicle, using stairs, and standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Must persevere under pressure for extended periods of time.

• Valid state driver's license required with ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera insurance.
• Real- driver's license or acceptable alternative (U.S. passport or military ) for access to federal military installation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances and installation access.
• Background check and E-Verify will be conducted.
