Description
The Laborer reports directly to the Laborer Foreman and supports oilfield operations through labor-intensive activities to include, but not limited to: digging trenches, general groundwork around drill sites and process facilities, assisting various discipline journeymen with job tasks (scaffold, architectural, insulation, iron worker, etc.), job site maintenance and installation of mechanical apparatus. The incumbent will operate both hand and power tools as needed.
Job tasks vary daily.
4 weeks ON, 2 weeks OFF. 7 days per week, 11.5 hours per day. Total: 80.5 hours per week.
Work LocationNorth Slope, Alaska.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or Equivalent
- Current and valid Driver’s License
- One (1) year experience working in oilfield as a Laborer or other field position, preferred
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Training required
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Take and Pass a Fit-for Duty Examination.
- Basic knowledge and proficiency of hand and power tools used in an industrial oilfield setting
- Basic knowledge of civil, structural, pipe fitting and/or other labor crafts
- Knowledge and experience in oilfield operations, preferred
- Ability to use time efficiently to complete projects/assignments on time
- Ability to work minimum 11.5-hour shift daily
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly in a team environment
- Skilled in maintaining positive attitude in challenging situations
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and see.
- Frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance and walk.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Visual acuity must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require use of ear plugs on occasion.
- Work is usually done outside at a job site/field site that may have inclement weather conditions.
- The incumbent is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles and equipment.
- The employee will be required to work and stay on site during the work rotation and must comply with all Company and Client policies.
