Heavy Duty Mechanic, Automotive, Advanced Journey/Lead

The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is seeking a qualified mechanic to maintain and repair heavy‑ and light‑duty equipment used for roads, rural airports, and other state agency vehicles.

What you will be doing:
  • Professionally maintain all heavy‑ and light‑duty equipment and vehicles associated with construction and maintenance of secondary roads, rural airports, and other agency vehicles.
  • Resolve unusual or complex equipment problems through a variety of techniques and methods, performing routine and specialized repair and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, repair and modify transmissions, drive trains, suspension, engine and emission systems, fuel injection, hydraulic systems, and brake systems (air and electrical) for both light and heavy‑duty equipment.
