Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
IAC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I to ensure its housing properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role involves performing minor plumbing, electrical, heating, and carpentry repairs, preparing units for new tenants, maintaining grounds, and assisting with inspections. The Maintenance Technician I supports the agency’s mission by creating a professional and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and the community.
The ideal candidate has experience or education in maintenance or facilities work, basic knowledge of repair systems, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A valid Alaska Driver’s License and the ability to pass a background check are required.
Schedule: Part-time no more than 31 hours per week Reports To: Operations & Maintenance Manager
