JOB SUMMARYThe Civil Roustabout position reports directly to the Civil Foreman responsible for the scope of work and will assist the civil crew in a variety of jobs for construction and maintenance projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Work In accordance with SOP/JHA using Prep Alaska and the 8 lifesaving rules to execute work in a safe and timely manner.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and be capable of performing assigned tasks with limited general technical guidance in a productive and efficient manner.
- Perform basic structural layouts and fitting.
- Must have skills in operating power tools and hand tools.
- Assemble and disassemble well houses.
- Installation of well houses, doors, grip-strut floor kits, and excavate and install grade beams.
- Assist in pipeline digs, installation of underground casings and operation of heat transfer ground thawing units.
- Must be proficient in interpretation of engineered lift plans
- Must be proficient in the fabrication of containments using extrusion and heat gun procedures.
- Must have knowledge of structural and mechanical piping maintenance operations.
- Must have the knowledge and training to perform rigging on structural and piping components.
- Identify soil classes, grades and soil compaction and read and interpret grade stakes.
- Must work safely around excavators, loaders, cranes and other heavy equipment.
- Must safely operate trucks, walk-behind skid steers and soil compactors.
- Must be able to set up, maintain and operate an oxy-acetylene torch.
- Must have the ability to work in confined spaces.
- Participation in the respiratory protection program is required.
- Must be familiar with permit procedures for each task performed.
- Interpretation of Isometric and P&.
- Apply PREP AK on all jobs and verify crew members are engaged in PREP AK.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.
- A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
- The ability to work 80.5 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.
- At least four (4) years of experience as a Roustabout specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is required.
- The ability to read mechanical blueprints and P&IDs is preferred.
- A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class A or B CDL with a current DOT Medical Card is preferred.
- Previous experience operating loaders and skid-steers is preferred.
