Cell Site Technician
Overall
Purpose:
Perform complex installation and maintenance activities for cell site equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the cellular network.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Testing and Configuration:
Performs testing and configuration of all technologies, equipment, and components to ensure proper functionality and operation. - Performance Monitoring:
Monitors telecommunication systems performance, identifying poor quality lines, circuit utilization, cost reduction initiatives, and service improvement opportunities. - Vendor Coordination:
Acts as a liaison with outside vendors, coordinating installation/repair dates, equipment delivery, and testing of new circuits or equipment. - Troubleshooting:
Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues at cell sites. - Snow Removal and Plowing at Cell Sites
- Minimal Supervision:
Operates independently or with minimal supervision to complete tasks effectively.
Job Contribution:
An experienced professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems. Works with independent judgement on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions. Actions impact efficiency costs, schedules and client relationships. Environmental Requirements:
This position may be responsible for contributing to ATT compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Experience:
2+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
