Allied Health Professional Duties
Help. Total Rewards of an Allied Health Professional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provides housing search assistance, case management, and services for a caseload of Veterans in the Fairbanks Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program (HUD-VASH).
- May transport Veterans on their caseload to various locations in the community, such as the Public Housing Authority, bill payment centers, to assist Veterans in learning independent skills to help secure and maintain permanent housing.
- Reviewing agreements between Veteran participants and landlords, Public Housing Authorities, and the VA in establishing appropriate referral sites for HUD-VASH placements.
- Responsible for performing site visits of HUD-VASH apartments to ensure that Veterans reside in safe environment and in compliance with local housing codes.
- Coordinates care including serving as an advocate on behalf of Veterans and includes all activities to provide appropriate treatment and maintain Veterans in HUD approved stable housing.
- Participates in HUD-VASH conference calls and attends trainings offered by the HUD-VASH program.
- Documents all contacts with patients/families in the electronic medical record.
- Completes other documentation requirements of the HUD-VASH program, including 90 day psychosocial assessments, HOMES database updates, and measurement based care tracking to include routine pain, nutrition, and suicide screenings.
- Participates in HUD-VASH discharge planning with other disciplines.
- Provides individual, family, and group consultation/education to Veterans and families on community housing resources, advance directives, and VA benefits.
- Maintains relevant data and statistical compilations to comply with JCAHO, CARF, VA, and medical center policy and procedures.
- Acts as a liaison between VA and landlords, property managers, Housing Authorities, and community housing resources, to furniture and food banks and other relevant resources.

Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm

Pay:
Competitive salary and regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Parental Leave:
After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy:
After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66
