Salary Range: $22.36 to $31.30 Hourly
SUMMARYEnsures compliance in standards in evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients of the Street Outreach & Advocacy Program Basic Center (SOAP BC). Collaborates with the management team to ensure delivery of quality services.
JOB DUTIES- Provides advocacy and referral services and serve as a liaison with local community agencies.
- Interviews and screens clients for services.
- Creates and maintains clients file according to established policies and procedures.
- Provides information to the general public regarding program.
- Compiles and submits monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Attends training and specialty training as it applies to this position.
- Works as part of a team providing quality care following departmental policies and procedures.
- The incumbent of this position must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines. The incumbent shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures.
- Ability to report to work in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
- Understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, as well as cross-cultural communication styles.
- Skill in operating personal computer utilizing a variety of computer software.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
- Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of work experience in the social service field.
- Strong understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, with demonstrated experience working effectively with Alaska Native populations.
- Associate’s degree in human development, social services, counseling or related field.
