JOB SUMMARYThe Potable/Greywater Truck Driver is responsible for safely driving long distances, including travel on ice roads, and operating vac trucks, tankers, and super suckers to transport potable water, wastewater, and other drilling-related fluids between facilities, camps, and drilling rigs. This role includes the collection, transfer, delivery, and disposal of fluids in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in fluid transfer operations, load documentation, and manifesting procedures, and must maintain a strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency.
A valid U.S.
-issued, Alaska-compliant Class A CDL with both Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required as well as a DOT Medical Card.
- Operate and maintain the equipment such as vac trucks, tankers, super suckers to load and unload water, wastewater and other drilling related fluids from camps and facilities to include the drilling rigs.
- Will be required to work outside in cold and adverse weather conditions.
- Heavy physical labor required for handling hoses, valves, pumps, and other equipment.
- Prepare, update, and maintain logs, records, manifest requirements, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.
- Inspect, adjust, and perform minor equipment repairs.
- Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Clean, store, and maintain equipment as required.
- Within seven (7) days of arrival at the job location the employee must demonstrate the ability to pass a written and practical competency equipment evaluation.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class A or B CDL with both Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required.
- A current DOT Medical Card is required.
- A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
- The ability to work 80.5-84 hours a week on a 2×2 or 3×3 rotation is required.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a CDL Truck Driver or Potable/Greywater Truck Driver is required.
- Previous ice road driving experience is required.
- Four (4) or more years of experience as a CDL Truck Driver hauling fluids and materials specifically the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.
