Expeditor — O&M North Slope Construction

JOB SUMMARY

The Expeditor is responsible for delivering project materials to jobsites and transporting employees, supplies, and documentation throughout the field. This position may also coordinate purchases, supplier contacts, and shipment of materials to ensure prompt delivery of materials to project locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Contact suppliers, track shipments, and resolve delays or changes.
  • Complete and monitor purchase orders.
  • Use Oracle procurement module to complete procurement and reporting tasks.
  • Sort, file, and deliver paperwork and supplies to other departments including mail, payroll, and other project documentation and materials.
  • Operate forklifts, flatbed trucks, and pickups to secure and deliver loads of various sizes to jobsites.
  • Transport employees as needed.
  • Provide care and custody of stored materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • A valid (U.S issued) Driver’s License is required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • The ability to work 80.5 — 84 hours a week on a 2×2, 3×3, or 4×2 rotation is required.
  • A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience as an Expeditor is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in materials handling and transportation is required.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office programs Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.
  • Proficient experience with purchasing software programs Oracle, Passport, and SAP is required.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts, flatbed trucks, and all other pick‑up trucks is required.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi‑Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.

Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self‑serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on‑site orientation.
