Hardlines​/Receiving Clerk

Location

Based in Portland, Oregon.

• Verify and maintain records of incoming shipments and route them to processing areas.
• Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

• High school diploma or GED plus six months of distribution/service‑center experience and six months of order filler experience; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends, any shift, and overtime.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of standard product packaging and the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Familiarity with distribution‑center receiving terms and processes.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Fred Meyer lift‑truck certification or license.

• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• Six months of company distribution/service‑center experience.
• Examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items; record shortages; correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
• Match merchandise and quantities to purchase orders.
• Receive merchandise using handheld units and route it to processing areas.
• Operate lift truck.
• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
