Summary

The Manufacturing Engineerwillplayakeyroleinthemanufacturingofhighlyengineeredequipment .Thisindividualwillberesponsiblefordesigning,implementing,andoptimizingmanufacturingprocesses,workflowsandphysicalworkcellstoenhanceefficiencieswhilealsoworkingtoreducewaste,improveproductqualityandenhanceworkplacesafety.

Thequalifiedcandidatewillcollaboratecloselywithcross-functional teams–includingproduction,quality,engineering,continuous improvement,and facilities.

Responsibilitiesincluderesearching,designing,anddevelopingnewequipment,systems,procedures,andsolutionstosupportnewproductintroductionandexistingproductoptimization,whilealsoworkingtoaddressproductionconstraintsrelatedtoprocessesandtooling.

• Design,implement,andoptimizemanufacturingprocessestoimprovesafety,efficiency,reduce waste,andenhanceproductquality.
• Evaluatesmanufacturingprocessesbasedoncycletime,TAKTtime,andqualitycriteria,suchasefficiencyandspeed;manages process-improvement projects
• Design stools,fixturesandmachinesusedtoassemble,manufactureandinspectproducts.
• Developandmaintainworkinstructions,processflowdiagrams,andstandardoperatingproceduresforairblowerassemblyandproduction.
• Collaboratewithengineeringteamstoensuremanufacturabilityofnewproducts,providinginputondesignchangestoimproveproductionefficiency.
• Implementandmaintainpreventativemaintenanceprogramsforproductionequipmentandtooling.
• Monitorkeyperformanceindicators(KPIs) suchascycletimes,downtime,anddefectratestoidentifyimprovementopportunities.
• Utilizeleanmanufacturingprinciplesand
  80/20toolstodrivecontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
• Sourcesandplans:installsnewequipmentandensuresthatitoperatescorrectly;trainsotherstooperatenewmachinery
• Trainandsupportproductionstaffonnewprocesses,equipment,and technologies.
• Troubleshootsmalfunctioningequipmentandpartnerswithmanufacturertosupportequipmentrepair
• Developsandimplementsmanufacturing,productionandISOcertificationproceduresandprocesses
• AssistswithEH&Sprojectstomaintainasafemanufacturingenvironment.
• Maintainsknowledgeofnewanddevelopingmanufacturingtechnology,equipment,and applications;appliesthisknowledgetorecommendandimplementnewtechnologyandprocesses
• Supportpotentialautomationinitiativesforassemblyandinspectionprocesses
• Performsotherdutiesasassignedwithinscopeofposition
