Job Description
This role will support both administrative and clinical duties in the occupational health service line. It provides operational support through coordination of care, ensuring required documentation and reporting is achieved. The position plays a key role in coordinating occupational health services such as drug screening, substance abuse testing, and workers compensation assessments.
Essential Job Functions- Provides patient care according to provider instructions and clinical protocols within scope of training or certification.
- Performs basic office functions: answering phones, addressing client questions, scheduling, filing, coordinating patient flow.
- Coordinates care (scheduling, testing, reporting) and obtains records for patients referred to specialists, diagnostics, or therapy.
- Initiates and maintains documentation, retaining a comprehensive filing system.
- Maintains inventory of laboratory and testing supplies for services such as vision, hearing, spirometry, EKG, drug and alcohol screens.
- Collaborates with billing to ensure financial accuracy.
- Supports on-site service coordination, including on‑call and after‑hours service.

Licensing / CertificationRequired:
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association.
Preferred: BAT, DOT Urine Drug Screen, PFT, Hearing Conservation, Medical Coder.
EducationRequired:
High School Diploma.
Preferred:
Associate’s Degree.
Preferred: 2 years in industry, office, or medical environment.
TrainingPreferred: SYSTOC Electronic Health Record, OSHA recordability, access to care, obtaining authorization, Workers Comp.
Office OperationsPreferred:
Hair, Saliva, DOT Urine and BAT Collection.

Patient PopulationAdults (18–64 years). Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Working ConditionsPeriods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. General office environment with potential exposure to physical altercations, verbal abuse, hazardous substances, body fluids, blood, and adverse weather conditions. Travel to off‑site locations may be required.

- Manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination), maneuver weight of patients, hear alarms/telephone/audio recordings.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer non‑intravenous medications, inform medical professionals of patient conditions.
- Record patient medical histories.
- Budgeting & financial acumen.
