Job Summary
Pay Rate: $19.45 per hour (part‑time). The position is responsible for product merchandising in large‑volume stores (grocery, etc.), including stocking shelves, rotating displays, moving products from storage to the sales floor, and interacting with store personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Merchandise store shelving, coolers, and displays with products in assigned accounts.
- Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf.
- Transport products between backroom and shelf locations.
- Use equipment (e.g., U‑boats, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) to move products.
- Display promotional material such as signs and banners.
- Maintain neat and orderly back‑room stock.
- Communicate store issues to store managers and corporate.
- Build customer relationships at the store level.
- Comply with operating procedures (e.g., scan‑in/scan‑out, designated routes).
- Serve accounts during specified service times established by management.
- Deliver customer service through communication, rapport building, and attentiveness to customer needs.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Use handheld devices to write/input orders.
- Show regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Minimum age 18.
- Pass the physical capabilities test (if applicable).
- Have personal transportation to access multi‑store locations within assigned shift.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Proof of insurance.
- Experience working in a retail or grocery environment, understanding store operations, back‑room and inventory management, and stocking aisles and shelves.
- Experience moving products within a store using equipment such as U‑boats, hand trucks, or dollies.
- Experience merchandising products, including filling shelves, building displays, rotating items, and eliminating out‑of‑stock or expired products.
- Experience managing back‑room or stock room inventory, organizing pallets, and storing inventory.
- Experience serving customers, handling complaints, and meeting customer needs.
