Fondriest Environmental, based in Fairborn, Ohio, supplies natural resource scientists and engineers with a wide range of products, including instruments for water quality, weather, and hydrology monitoring. Services include system integration, calibration, training, and technical support. The company also operates the Fondriest Center for Environmental Studies, which supports research, education, and product testing.

Position Overview

The company is looking for a highly motivated and goal-oriented Regional Sales Manager to drive business growth across Florida. The focus will be on generating new business, expanding market presence, and fostering relationships. The ideal candidate is results-driven, passionate about the environment, and experienced in the water technology field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, leads, referrals and cross selling.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets by converting leads into customers, and maximizing revenue growth.
  • Maintain detailed customer records and call notes using the company’s CRM.
  • Develop strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of their challenges and project objectives.
  • Execute a high volume daily of outbound messaging to potential clients, introducing key products and services.
  • Social sell to your well-established and ever-growing Linked In network with reposting and original posting.
  • Schedule a high volume of face-to-face and video calls with qualified clients demonstrating products and supporting project startups.
  • Establish yourself as an industry expert offering guidance for environmental measurement systems. Speak at conferences to share your technical expertise.
  • Craft winning proposals always offering the best-in-class solutions and follow-up to support the buying decision.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in science or business is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience or an internship in a related field is required.
  • Knowledge (additional training provided):
    • Familiarity with environmental measurements and applications.
    • Familiarity with industry players and practices.
  • Travel (~ 50%)
    • Customer sites, project sites, conferences
