SRC, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Security Manager Specialist to provide personnel security (PERSEC) program management, adjudication support, and security operations oversight under the SRC Big Safari team. The role will support security clearance management, access control, and liaison with government security offices to ensure personnel security compliance across AFLCMC/WIJ (Big Safari) programs.
What You'll Do- Manage day‑to‑day personnel security program functions: clearances, investigations, reinvestigations, sponsor ships, access requests, and termination processes
- Serve as primary point of contact for clearance processing with DoD/DOS adjudicative and investigative authorities and industrial security partners
- Maintain and update personnel security records, track clearance status, and ensure timely submission of SF 86/PSQ, continuous vetting, and periodic reinvestigation packages
- Conduct suitability and continuous evaluation monitoring, reportable‑issue reporting, and mitigate insider‑threat indicators in coordination with security stakeholders
- Develop, implement, and enforce PERSEC policies, SOPs, and standardized processes consistent with government requirements and program needs
- Provide guidance and training to program leadership, human resources, and contracting staff on clearance eligibility, need‑to‑know, classification guidance, and reporting obligations
- Perform adjudicative intake support, prepare mitigation packages, and coordinate appeals or waiver requests as directed
- Coordinate security clearances and access for foreign nationals, contractors, and visiting officials per program and foreign disclosure requirements
- Support personnel security aspects of onboarding/offboarding, visits, TDYs, temporary duty clearances, and badge issuance processes
- Maintain metrics, produce regular status reports, and brief senior leadership on program clearance posture and risks
- Ensure compliance with personnel security IT systems (e.g., DISS, JPAS legacy interfaces, eQIP) and maintain data integrity and confidentiality
- High school diploma and 12+ years of industrial or program security experience OR associate's degree and 10+ years of experience OR bachelor's degree and 8+ years
- An active Top Secret clearance is required
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in security roles supporting DoW, federal government, or cleared industry environment
- Direct experience managing security clearance processes, adjudication support, and investigations interface (DOD CAF, OPM, other investigative bodies)
- Familiarity with personnel security systems (DISS, eQIP), adjudicative guidelines, continuous vetting, and Insider Threat program fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DoD 5200‑series guidance, DCID/IC security standards as applicable, and program‑level security policy implementation
- Excellent written/verbal communication and strong organizational skills; ability to prepare briefings, reports, and SOPs
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance and pass background checks and drug screening
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and security tracking databases
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Prior experience supporting DoD program offices, or classified aviation/acquisition programs

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Dayton, OH is estimated at $110,000 to $126,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
