Supervisor, Health and Safety

Position

Health and Safety Supervisor – full onsite at our Fairburn location.

• 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm.

• Assist in the identification, development and administration of company safety training programs.
• Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements, providing technical safety and health support and information to all employees.
• Coordinate and administer safety training initiatives for the company to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and all other regulatory requirements.
• Administer mandatory environmental, health and safety training and ensure all newly hired employees, agency employees, contractors, visitors and transferred employees receive proper training.
• Assist with enforcement of regulatory regulations and company policies and with launches of new facilities in relation to EHS programs.
• Ensure compliance to audit standards and work with auditors and vendors to answer findings and complaints in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Ensure employees operate in a safe, orderly, and clean environment; involved in the development of work procedures and make health and safety recommendations accordingly.
• Review injury/illness and non‑injury incident investigation reports and follow up as necessary.
• Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees’ exposure to work hazards.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance, including property in and around the facility.
• Review plans and specifications for development of new machinery, equipment or processes to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
• Serve as a member of the First Aid/CPR Responder/ERT teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
