The position of Operations Manager at Arvato demands expertise in initiating requisitions for our high‑tech warehouse, particularly concerning data center equipment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the customer requisition process, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, reliability, and cost objectives. They will oversee the front‑end staff involved in this process, requiring strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure seamless operations.
This role requires a strong customer‑facing presence and a comprehensive understanding of end‑to‑end operational processes, from requisition through fulfillment.
- Execute all business review preparation, responsible for all action logs and items resulting from business reviews.
- Serve as a key communication link between operations and all customers.
- Create or use existing metrics to verify that the operation is under control.
- Actively manage production, quality, technical, and communication issues.
- Monitor and adjust processes as needed to meet production schedules, due dates, priorities, shipping requirements, and volume peaks.
- Drive continuous improvement in all areas.
- Maintain production, quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Provide support and training on the Company policy to employees.
- Work with engineering, operations, and client services to analyze new job requirements.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Develop employees by conducting performance reviews and training as required.
- Handle hiring, evaluating, conducting disciplinary actions, and performance counselling.
- Monitor time and attendance records.
- Experience developing, motivating, and leading cross‑functional teams.
- Customer service and operational experience.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to interact easily with individuals at all levels and functions, both within and outside the organization.
- Must be motivated, analytical, and articulate.
- Proactive in driving improvement processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Must possess the ability to function in a high‑pressure, fast‑moving environment.
- Experience in a high‑tech distribution centre environment.
