Plant Engineering Leader

The Technical Leader (Plant Engineering Leader) is responsible for providing all aspects of technical leadership to the Plant. The position reports to the Plant Leader and is a member of the plant leadership team. There is also a functional reporting relationship to the ISB Technical Leader in Granville, OH. The Technical Leader has 7-15 direct reports depending on plant size including:
Manufacturing Engineers for each operating line, batch, furnace and binder areas, Quality/CI Engineer(s), Packaging and Process Engineer(s) and participants in early career development programs.

Drive alignment between plant departments

Understanding and communicating customer expectations through effective use of standard work, reporting and teams communications
Job RequirementsExperience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
A minimum of 5 years progressive technical experience in a manufacturing environment, fiberglass process experience preferred
A minimum of two years experience leading people
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing experience

The ability to utilize Owens Corning systems and the software necessary for this role
Utilizing data and data collection systems, and Six Sigma methods for problem-solving and decision-making to eliminate manufacturing losses and unnecessary costs
