Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to be our Night Auditor.
Primary Responsibilities- Balance the accounts from day shift.
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assign rooms.
- Manage front desk activity, handling guest check‑ins and check‑outs.
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify that payment method match.
- Collect guest information (contact details, dates of stay).
- Ensure customer satisfaction by scheduling wake‑up calls and other guest requests.
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Create invoices, bills and checks for vendors, employees and contractors.
- Maintain all official documentation pertaining to the role.
- Confirm all end‑of‑day activities are successfully executed.
- Answer calls and queries related to potential bookings.
- Provide information about hotel rooms, rates and amenities.
- Communicate with housekeeping staff to ensure room availability for check‑in and that departures are processed by check‑out time.
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized experiences for guests and event attendees such as wedding guests.
- Maintain knowledge of standards and company policies.
- Complete the computerized audit function for the hotel at the end of the business day, including recording daily financial transactions (telephone charges, food and beverage revenue, and posting credit card charges).
- High school education or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Six months related experience or training preferred.
- Previous experience as a hotel Front Desk Agent preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
- Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with office equipment (copier, printer, fax, telephone).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage time, stay disciplined, and work the overnight hours (10:00–11:00 pm) while maintaining alertness for a minimum of eight hours.
- Stand for long periods, use arms, hands, and legs repetitively, lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Walk, climb, balance, talk, and hear as required.
