Position Summary

Since the doors opened in 1972, our Atlanta factory has grown dramatically into a state‑of‑the‑art facility. Producing 460,000 tons a year of dry pet food brands—including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®—we maintain zero waste for disposal and invest in renewable electricity, water conservation, and sustainability. Our location on the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta places us at the heart of a thriving business community.

As a HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing plant‑wide HVAC systems, boiler room operations, and electrical and mechanical devices. You will work independently, handle projects that span electrical, mechanical, and automation maintenance challenges, and work safely at all times.

• Troubleshoot and repair plant‑wide HVAC, boiler room systems, and operation
• Follow safety policies and procedures, attend safety meetings
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures
• Lay out and fabricate simple duct work
• Perform new mechanical installation from design to completion
• Properly select and install plant‑approved insulation materials
• Perform special welding applications such as alloy or thin metal welding

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year HVAC experience in manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment, or a 2‑year technical degree

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $35.07. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
