Position Summary

Since the doors opened in 1972, our Atlanta factory has grown dramatically into a state-of-the-art facility. With safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including AlpoC, Beneful, Cat Chow, Dog Chow, Friskies, Purina ONE, and Pro Plan. Our factory also does its part for the environment by conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, maintaining zero waste for disposal and more.

This plant location is situated along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta —an area that nearly 6 million residents and many of our associates call home. Atlanta is considered the major commercial and financial center of the Southeast, and together, we contribute to the growth of businesses and population, building the city s strong logistics, entertainment and film, and health services industries.

As the Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, you will be responsible for performance data management processes and routines. You will assist with training, coaching, and assessing the data health of the facility and support continuous improvement activities. You will dive into our data to help us identify opportunities to improve our performance and processes. In addition, you will be a leader among our teams to drive a culture of standards while performing traditional industrial performance and engineering responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Gather data and analyze reports, including stoppage analysis and other production line data.
  • Manage industrial performance activities within the factory, to include capacity management, real time data acquisitions, continuous improvement project support, and conduct nominal rate reviews.
  • Responsible for managing industrial performance activities in the factory, including Nestle Manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Work collaboratively across departments and provide coaching to ensure overall data health within the facility.
  • Provide strong data visualization support to drive manufacturing excellence activities and communicate across the team effectively
  • Facilitate Operational Master Plan activities for the factory, including ownership of data to support all levels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelord

    B degree and 2+ years of continuous improvement, process improvement, or coaching and developing in a manufacturing, military, or related environment

OR

  • High school diploma with 5+ years of continuous improvement, process improvement, or coaching and developing in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
Other
  • Experience with Power BI or related software preferred
Compensation and Benefits

The approximate yearly pay range for this position is $66,000 - $98,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
