About the Role:
The Sewing Operator is responsible for meeting or exceeding established quality and productivity standards for assigned production tasks. This role contributes to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while performing all duties required within the assigned department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce specified products according to required specifications using proper sewing methods and techniques.
- Operate a single needle lockstitch machine safely and apply appropriate methods to ensure safe machine operation.
- Inspect work regularly to verify machines are functioning correctly and products meet quality specifications.
- Adhere to all company quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate with the supervisor as needed regarding production, equipment, or quality concerns.
- Maintain reliable attendance and ensure attendance points do not exceed those permitted under the company attendance policy.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and high level of enthusiasm in daily work.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial sewing experience in a textile manufacturing environment required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable with physical tasks involving frequent bending, stooping, reaching, standing, prolonged sitting, repetitive motions, fine motor skills, twisting, turning, and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
