Overview
This Sr. Process Engineer position works out of our Fairburn GA manufacturing plant. This role will rely heavily on world-class analytical capabilities coupled with a strong shop floor presence and bias for action.
Responsibilities- Manage equipment installation, process validations, and document manufacturing methods to ensure robust process control.
- Develop and maintain robust, cost-efficient manufacturing processes.
- Implement best practice methods and standard processes to reduce variation.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand sources of variation and identify impact to the high-volume manufacturing processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions to optimize performance and reduce waste.
- Manage and document process validations, equipment installation, and manufacturing method improvements.
- Support operations with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing variability and improving throughput.
- Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing methods, processes, and controls with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production and quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years of process engineering / continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated success in delivering productivity and cost improvements
- Experience driving lean process change utilizing TPS methods
- The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong ‘bias for action’.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a desire to work for a fast-paced organization
- Detailed understanding of process capability, Minitab
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing organization
- Strong skills in collaborating with internal and external customers.
