School Store Sales Associate

Position Summary

The School Store Sales Associate provides excellent customer service to students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting the daily operations of the school store. This position is responsible for assisting customers, processing sales transactions, assist with merchandise displays, and restocking inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide information on dress code, spirit wear, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Process sales accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, credit card, and student billing.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and attractive sales floor.
• Restock merchandise and ensure displays are fully stocked and visually appealing.
• Receive, price, tag, and assist in organizing new inventory.
• Assist with online order fulfillment, packaging, and customer pickups as needed.
• Support special school events, athletic games, admissions events, and campus functions requiring store merchandise or sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the school professionally.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stocking merchandise.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends during school events, open houses, athletic events, or other special functions.
