Diesel Mechanic​/Technician

Overview

Amwaste is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain engines and equipment on waste collection trucks and provide courteous service to truck drivers. The role supports drivers and positively impacts the community.

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostic, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and fix vehicle and equipment operation problems.
• Follow standard maintenance schedules.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and equipment.
• Attend safety meetings and classes.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean shop.
• Weld and fabricate parts as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of vehicle and equipment operation and maintenance principles.

• Proficiency in using tools and equipment used in vehicle maintenance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
