Job SummaryUnder routine supervision, this position is responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and reporting on inbound and outbound units to ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations and company safety requirements. It may involve outdoor work, various shifts including nights and weekends, and overtime. Full‑time attendance is required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspections on company units to ensure compliance with all federal DOT and FHWA, state, and local commercial vehicle regulations
- Observe all company safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure that all defects and deficiencies are noted and documented properly according to company standards
- Ensure that all tires are properly serviced and meet company standards
- Perform minor repairs to company units (e.g., change lights, install mud flaps, add fluids, etc.) as required
- Assist drivers and co‑workers as needed
- Manage availability and inventory of necessary parts, including spare parts
- Prepare necessary paperwork and direct traffic through the inspection lane
- Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation and BenefitsFactors that may affect starting pay include skills, education, experience, geographic location, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Position may be eligible for an annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable.

- Lifting above 50 lbs., bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Wearing appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
