We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites and yards. This role plays a critical part in supporting construction operations by ensuring timely and secure deliveries. The ideal candidate has a valid CDL license, a clean driving record, and experience operating commercial vehicles in construction or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., dump truck, flatbed, low‑boy, or trailer) to transport materials and equipment
- Load and unload trucks using proper methods to prevent shifting, damage, or injury
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and trip documentation
- Follow delivery schedules, GPS directions, and instructions from dispatch or supervisors
- Secure loads using chains, binders, tarps, or straps as needed
- Comply with all DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations
- Assist crews with labor or site tasks when deliveries are complete (as needed)
- Report any mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle
- Valid Class A or B CDL (depending on vehicle type)
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience (preferred)
- Experience hauling construction materials or equipment (plus)
- Familiarity with load securement, tie‑down procedures, and safe operating practices
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with loading/unloading when required
- Strong communication and time‑management skills
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings (if needed)
