Job Summary:

The Logistics Operations Manager monitors all operations, including processing shipments, preparing paperwork, communicating freight status, and dispatching drivers for pickup. The supervisor serves as the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, system operations, and vendors, providing quality customer service while meeting company policies and procedures.

• Continuous improvement through analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing.
• Cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
• Advanced Excel usage, including VLOOKUP and spreadsheet analysis.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with OSHA regulations, applicable laws, and corporate policies.
• Effective training, supervision, coaching, and evaluation of direct reports to foster communication and morale.
• Monthly review of key performance measures and benchmarking data to drive corrective actions.
• Communicate freight status and address issues with customers, vendors, and pilots.
• Operate forklift for freight handling.
• Build and off-load trucks for optimal routing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $75,000 to $80,000 per year (subject to market conditions and location). Monday – Friday, 7:00AM to 4:30PM.
