Basic

Purpose:

To provide a safe and reliable fleet by assisting maintenance.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm

Starting Pay: $22.50/hr (DOE)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wash trucks, parts room organization, and janitorial duties.
• Safely drive trucks/trailers throughout the lot.
• Assist shop technicians with repairs when required.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Relationships:

• Internal:
  All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager
• External:
  Ability to interact with parts delivery drivers

Work Environment:

• Onsite:
  The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.
• Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

• N/A

Licenses:

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous mechanical experience
• Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
• Mechanical knowledge and comfortable with hands-on work

4 (Manipulate Objects: Boxes, dolly, metal truck ramp, hand truck, paperwork, truck gate, straps)

5 (Manual Dexterity: Typing, use of office machines such as copiers, printers)

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $22.50/hr and $26.47/hr as applicable, this role may also receive: overtime compensation.
