Put Your Ecology Expertise to Work Protecting Marin’s Watersheds
Love working where science, conservation, and the great outdoors come together? Marin Water is looking for an Ecologist (Vegetation) I/II to join our Watershed Department and help protect and restore some of Marin’s most valuable natural resources.
This is an opportunity to do more than study the environment—you’ll help manage it. From biological monitoring and invasive species management to habitat restoration, vegetation management, environmental compliance, and watershed projects, your work will have a tangible impact on the health and resilience of Marin’s watershed lands.
What makes this opportunity exciting?
Spend time in the field and in the office, applying your ecological knowledge to real-world conservation challenges.
Support projects involving habitat restoration, stream restoration, re-vegetation, fuel reduction, invasive species management, roads and trails, and watershed maintenance.
Conduct biological monitoring, identify natural resources, and help develop practical strategies to protect sensitive environmental resources.
Work alongside professionals across Marin Water to balance environmental stewardship, public safety, infrastructure needs, and water resource protection.
Join a mission-driven organization where your work directly supports a reliable water supply and the long-term health of Marin’s watersheds.
Be part of a team that values safety, collaboration, scientific expertise, and environmental stewardship.
Whether you are ready to launch the next chapter of your ecology career as an Ecologist I or bring more advanced project and program experience as an Ecologist II, this is a chance to make a meaningful contribution to Marin’s natural environment.
If you’re an ecologist who wants your work to extend beyond the classroom, office, or laboratory and into the landscapes you’re helping protect we’d love to hear from you.
Bring your science. Explore the watershed. Make a difference.
