Senior Staff Accountant

An IT Gov Con is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting within a structured, process-driven environment. This role will work closely with the CFO and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close activities, and strengthening internal controls.

• Perform subledger to GL reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close
• Prepare journal entries and financial reports in accordance with GAAP
• Support contract accounting, billing accuracy, and revenue tracking
• Oversee invoicing processes and ensure timely submissions
• Partner on forecasting and cash flow analysis
• Contribute to process improvements and audit support efforts
• Utilize Excel for reporting, analysis, and data organization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong Gov Con ERP system experience (Unanet or Costpoint experience a plus)
• Proven reconciliation expertise and attention to detail
• Solutions-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, etc.)

• Government contracting experience
• Exposure to full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, payroll)
