Accounts Receivable Specialist Hybrid

A leading energy efficiency, engineering, environmental, and management consulting firm is searching for 2 AR Specialists to join their accounting department in Fairfax, VA! They are looking for candidates with a background in accounting to prepare and process a high volume of invoices and provide other accounting-related assistance. Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000 DOE

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Process 400 - 600 invoices weekly using Quick Books Desktop
• Ensure timely processing of billings and receivables
• Address and correct discrepancies in invoices and billing
• Collaborate with the team to manage vendor payment terms and billing statuses
• Direct communication with vendors and clients to maintain positive relationships and resolve issues
• Track and report on billing statuses using Microsoft Excel

Requirements:

• 2 - 4 years of experience in high-volume billing/invoicing
• Minimum 3 years of accounting receivable experience
• Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong customer service, attention to detail, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in skilled trade industries (e.g., construction, roofing, plumbing, HVAC) preferred
• Strong analytical skills preferred
• General ledger experience preferred
