Description
- Generate contracts and BEOs in support of Catering Managers.
- Support daily distribution of BEOs, reader boards and change logs.
- Email correspondence directed by managers as needed.
- Maintenance of computer data for Sales Department including updating and troubleshooting.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and check requests.
- Handle negotiations with meeting planners and generate Banquet Event Orders based on agreed contractual terms.
- Maintain excellent working relationships from initial lead call through follow up solicitation and maintain contact with all support departments, including banquets and functions room departments until event conclusion.
- Conduct property tours to promote facilities and services.
- Minimum 1-2 years hotel experience preferred; front desk experience highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including leading and participating in formal presentations.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision and be a self-starter.
- Marriott CI experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
