Travel Coordinator

Position Overview

Nightwing seeks a cleared Travel Coordinator in Fairfax, VA to manage deployment schedules, arrange safe and cost‑efficient airfare, oversee visas and electronic clearance requests, and support program travel administration in compliance with the Fly America Act and company policies.

• Plan, research, and arrange/book travel airfare itineraries per program TDY schedule and policies.
• Make flight alterations after business hours as required.
• Adjust airfare itineraries for deployed members and track TDY schedule changes.
• Communicate effectively verbally and by email.
• Recommend travel itineraries to provide cost savings.
• Conduct monthly reviews and report cost per project.
• Use customer and program databases and spreadsheets to record, track, and report travel information and cost data.
• Submit and track visa and passport requests.
• Create Electronic Country Clearances (eCC) for each destination per team member before deployment.
• Track eCC approvals, mitigate concerns, and communicate delays to senior leadership.
• Maintain global geopolitical awareness of all countries and their conditions.
• Assist in reconciling travel expense accounting.

• Experience scheduling and managing OCONUS travel.
• Knowledge of government travel policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
