Director Of Corporate Safety

We are currently in search of a Director of Corporate Safety to join our Fairfax, VA office. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to Executive Management. The Corporate Director of Safety will establish the vision, strategy, and culture for safety throughout the organization while ensuring compliance with OSHA, client‑specific requirements, and industry best practices.

This individual will serve as the company’s safety leader, partnering with executive leadership, operations, project teams, and field personnel to continuously improve safety performance across all projects.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve Patner Construction’s corporate Safety Management Program.
• Establish company‑wide safety goals, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Develop annual strategic safety initiatives aligned with company growth objectives.

• Develop and maintain all corporate safety manuals, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Standardize project safety processes across all divisions.
• Develop leading indicators and safety metrics to measure performance.

• Conduct regular project site audits throughout the company.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, VOSH, EM‑385, USACE, DOS/OBO, MWAA, and project‑specific requirements.
• Review and approve Site Specific Safety Plans.

• Develop company‑wide safety orientation and training programs.
• Coordinate OSHA training, leadership development, and continuing education.
• Lead company safety meetings and executive safety reviews.

• Support proposal development by contributing safety narratives and statistics.
• Participate in client interviews when safety expertise is required.
• Represent Patner at industry safety organizations and professional associations.

• Must have at least 15 years’ experience with commercial construction safety programs / 7 years leading safety programs across multiple projects.
• Airport and Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• 10‑Hour OSHA and 30‑Hour OSHA
• OSHA 500 AND /510 Certification
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926, VOSH Unique Standards, EM 385‑1‑1, USACE and MWAA Construction Safety Manual requirements.
• Experience supporting government clients including DOS/OBO, USACE or similar agencies preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• CSP designation preferred.
• Must possess a valid current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
