Zing Recruiting is seeking an experienced Engineer IV – Construction Manager to join our client’s team. This role offers the opportunity to serve as an owner’s representative on complex capital building projects while managing all phases of construction administration from procurement through project closeout. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience overseeing vertical construction projects, coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to serve as an owner’s representative on complex capital building projects while managing all phases of construction administration from procurement through project closeout. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience overseeing vertical construction projects, coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Pay: Up to $60/hour

Schedule: Full-Time

• Manage all phases of construction administration from procurement and bid preparation through construction completion, warranty period, and project closeout
• Serve as the owner’s representative and oversee contractor performance on complex capital building projects
• Manage construction contracts, including change orders, RFIs, pay applications, and contract compliance
• Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction meetings and review contractor qualifications
• Monitor project schedules, including CPM scheduling requirements, and ensure projects remain on track
• Perform constructability reviews and quality control inspections
• Resolve construction issues and disputes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and end users
• Ensure successful project delivery from project start through final closeout

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or Registered Architect (RA) license required
• Extensive experience managing vertical construction projects, including new construction and major renovation projects
• Strong background in construction administration, contract management, and contractor oversight
• Experience with public sector, municipal, educational, healthcare, institutional, higher education, government, or large commercial construction projects preferred
• Knowledge of construction procurement, contract administration, CPM scheduling, quality control, and project closeout required
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex construction environments

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• LEED certification
• Value Engineering experience
