Responsibilities
- Writing compliant and compelling proposal responses in response to commercial and U.S. government solicitation requirements
- Incorporating the proposal capture strategy, proposal lenses, customer hot buttons, and discriminators through assigned sections
- Working closely with the Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, Volume Lead, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and functional departments as necessary
- Following the approved proposal processes
- Participating in reviews
- Maintaining configuration control of assigned sections
- Incorporating changes from all amendments and Q&A
- Developing necessary data calls to complete the assigned sections
- Attending daily standup progress reviews to provide status of section writing assignments
- 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience
- In-depth understanding of compliance with all sections of governmental RFPs
- Experience analyzing RFPs
- Creating annotated outlines
- Writing new material
- Editing written material
- Producing high-quality proposals under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly developed word processing skills, especially with Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of graphics and desktop software
- Working knowledge of Sharepoint or other proposal collaboration software
- Flexible and open to changing schedules and priorities
