• Experienced Reporter/Multimedia Journalist
• 3+ plus years of professional experience
• Demonstrated ability to report, write and edit clear, accurate and engaging news stories.
• Strong news judgment and understanding of journalism ethics.
• Experience cultivating sources, working a beat and breaking stories.
• Experience fact-checking and working with public affairs professionals, executives and senior leaders.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
• Experience identifying and developing story leads.
• Strong verbal communication and interviewing skills.
• Proficiency in social media and audience engagement.
• Ability to conduct on-camera interviews in person and online for webinars, podcasts and executive interviews.
• Familiarity with video editing platforms
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or a related field.

• Report and write original stories on defense, cyber, technology, intelligence and national security issues.
• Record, produce and edit video content for website, social media and event coverage.
• Conduct on-camera interviews with military, government and industry leaders.
• Develop sources and maintain a robust network of contacts across government, military, industry and academia.
• Identify and pursue breaking news and enterprise reporting opportunities.
• Generate fresh story ideas and unique angles relevant to SIGNAL 's audience.
• Moderate discussions, webinars and sponsored video programs.
• Collaborate with editors and colleagues to shape coverage and advance newsroom priorities.
• Cover conferences, industry events and other assignments as needed.
• Some travel required
