Temporary Customer Service Representative

Responsible for overseeing events and classes held at a variety of locations (Stacy

C. Sherwood Community Center, Old Town Hall, Blenheim Interpretive Center, and Green Acres) and for maintaining the city’s facilities as assigned. Position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

• Oversee events and classes at various community centers.
• Manage front desk operations, greeting patrons, answering phones, and handling inquiries.
• Register classes, print rosters, maintain room schedules, and process class evaluations.
• Coordinate facility reservations, schedules, and rental policies for private events.
• Unlock, set up, and secure rooms for classes, rentals, and community groups.
• Set up, break down, and stack tables and chairs; manage trash removal for private rentals.
• Operate audio‑visual equipment for rentals or city use.
• Perform custodial duties and assist with special events as needed.
• Check rooms, lock up after use, and ensure building security at day's end.
• Respond to emails and phone calls promptly.
• Participate in meetings to review rental policies and procedures.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide courteous customer service.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs, occasionally more than 75 lbs.

Primarily Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (5–10 hours daily). Weekday hours as needed. Shift times may start as early as 5:00 am and as late as 3:00 am.

$17.00–$24.00 per hour, no benefits. Position is considered temporary and will not be able to work more than twelve months consecutively.
