Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to work at a facility in Fairfax, VA
.

Pay Rate: $29 / hour

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. • Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.

Required

Skills & Experience:

• At least Six Months of hands‑on experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Hygiene Assistant or in a Dental Assistant Internship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.

• N/A

Required

Education:

• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Education:

• Associate’s Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• X‑Ray certification.
• 6 months experience.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

• Dental Assistant Certification
