Our biggest attributes are our client relationships and the almost 30 professionals in the Fairfax office. You will join an experienced team that values great design and quality for each project. This new opportunity will allow you to grow and create experience in your career path in architecture and with Dewberry.
Dewberry is a leading, market-facing professional services firm with more than 60 locations and 2,500 professionals nationwide. What sets us apart is our people. We seek exceptional talent and strive to deliver the highest quality of services to our clients. Whether you’re an experienced professional or a new graduate, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with the best and brightest and work on innovative and complex projects at the forefront of the industry.
Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture degree from an accredited university is required.
- Demonstrated experience with REVIT, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Established digital and traditional rendering and graphics abilities.
- Candidates should possess a positive attitude, outstanding work ethic and be team oriented.
- Qualified candidates should exhibit strong organizational skills, clear design thinking, and good oral and written communication skills.
- A design portfolio or sampling of work will be required.
Don’t meet every single requirement? At Dewberry we are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace for our employees. If you’re excited about this role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the position description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the right candidate for this or other opportunities.
- At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.
- Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Only recipients of an offer of employment from Dewberry will be required to submit to a background screening, which may include, but is not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, driving record check, criminal background check, and an investigative consumer report.
During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and apply their classroom knowledge to real projects. Interns are assigned meaningful work and are given opportunities to work on projects similar to those they would engage as full-time employees.
Interns also participate in a series of workshops and events, including:
- Networking opportunities to meet other interns, staff, and senior leaders across the business.
- Learning about our services, projects, and clients.
- Professional development workshops, including a career planning workshop and a DiSC assessment to learn more about themselves and how to work effectively with others.
- Summer-long group project where interns work alongside firm leaders to address issues that will impact our future strategy.
