Its programs enroll hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students, supported by more than 20 full-time faculty members with expertise in community health, global health, environmental health, biostatistics, epidemiology, and social and behavioral sciences.

The primary purpose of this tenured faculty position is to advance the mission of the university through teaching, research, and service. Faculty are expected to provide high-quality instruction, conduct and disseminate impactful scholarship, and contribute to professional, university, and community service that strengthens both the institution and the field. In addition to these responsibilities, the position includes an assignment as Department Chair.

The Department Chair position will be filled by a tenured professor with a 12-month appointment. The Chair will provide visionary leadership for the department's academic, research, and service mission, while managing fiscal resources.

• Teaches courses across the undergraduate and graduate program curriculum;
• Develops and delivers course content;
• Serves as a faculty member in both undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring curriculum relevance, contributing to program evaluation, supporting academic and professional advising for students and alumni, and managing accreditation processes; and
• As Chair, teaches one course each academic year.

• Engages in scholarly or creative work;

• Collaborates with colleagues.

• Serves on department, College of Public Health, and University‑level committees and working groups; and
