Responsibilities
- Provide adaptive care and support to children with disabilities during school hours and after school.
- Assist with homework and educational activities tailored to individual needs.
- Facilitate engaging and inclusive activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain communication with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized facility.
- Participate in regular assessments of children's development and adjust programs as needed.
- Collaborate with school personnel and community resources to provide additional support and enrichment opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A degree in early childhood education or child development is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a daycare or educational setting, with a focus on before and after school programs.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in adaptive care.
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages children's exploration and creativity.
- This role is essential for fostering a supportive and enriching environment for children with disabilities, ensuring their well‑being and development through structured activities and supervision.
- Full Time
Hours:
7AM-6PM Monday-Friday - Pay: $25/hour
- Through the end of the school year with summer school/camp hours available
- Behavioral/School experience is preferred (RBT/BT or Teacher Assistant)
