CACI is seeking a skilled Italian Instructor to support a high‑priority customer mission. These full‑time, in‑person positions require both teaching and language assessment responsibilities. Ideal candidates have strong adult teaching experience and are passionate about language instruction, capable of adapting materials to meet customized learning needs. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required for this role, although sponsorship is available for candidates who pass the necessary language assessments.
Responsibilities- Provide in‑person instruction to advanced‑level adult students (ILR 2–3).
- Apply linguistic expertise and teaching skills to support critical mission requirements.
- Summarize, gist, translate, triage, and perform quality control or editing of foreign‑language materials into accurate, professional American English.
- Deliver instruction that incorporates cultural, regional, and geopolitical context relevant to Italian.
- Maintain instructional excellence and adapt teaching materials to meet learner needs.
Required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph, or eligibility for sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution or a foreign institution in the target language, or equivalent; minimum 5+ years of adult teaching experience (or 7–10 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience). Additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Ability to pass an advanced English proficiency translation assessment at level 4 or higher (Senior Level).
- Ability to achieve ILR Level 5 in speaking, listening, and reading in Italian.
- Strong understanding of geopolitical, cultural, regional, and ethnic dynamics of Italy and Italian‑speaking regions.
- Proficiency with MS Office and online research skills.
Desired:
- Familiarity with one or more regional dialects.
- Experience in consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation.
$120,800 – $265,800
